Catholic schools aren’t asking for a special deal

If you read some of the commentary on school funding, you could be forgiven for thinking it is simply a case of the Catholic sector flexing its supposed electoral muscle for more money.

Of course, things are rarely that simple. What is at stake is the ongoing existence of the affordable local Catholic school, as Catholic Schools NSW Chief Executive Officer Dallas McInerney argued recently in the Australian Financial Review.
