School Registration

All government and non-government schools must be registered to operate in New South Wales. The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is responsible for ensuring the compliance of schools with the registration and accreditation requirements of the NSW Education Act 1990.

Information about registration and accreditation is available on the School Registration (RANGS) website.

NESA has published separate registration and accreditation manuals for diocesan system schools and for religious institute schools.
