Accreditation

Information about accreditation and necessary qualifications for teaching staff can be found on the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) website. NESA sets and administers professional teaching standards and includes a Guide to Accreditation and the process through which to become an accredited teacher.

Teaching at a Catholic school requires adhering to rigorous national teaching standards. The NESA website described the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) as “nationally agreed indicators of teacher quality to guide the preparation, support and development of teachers throughout their careers from Graduate to Proficient Teachers, to Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers”. More information on the APST can be accessed via the NESA website.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
