2027 Behaviour and Diverse Learning Symposium

Building on the success of previous years, the 2027 CSNSW Behaviour and Diverse Learning Symposium will bring together leading national and international experts to explore contemporary and emerging challenges in student wellbeing, behaviour, engagement, school safety, social cohesion and inclusive education.

Embracing the CSNSW 2027 theme of Renewal of Spirit, the symposium will provide an opportunity for Catholic education leaders and practitioners to reflect, reconnect and strengthen their collective commitment to fostering safe, supportive and inclusive school communities. Across two days, delegates will engage with the latest research, evidence-informed practices and innovative approaches through keynote presentations, interactive workshops and targeted masterclasses.
 

The program will explore key priorities for Catholic education, including Consent and Respectful Relationships Education (CRRE), Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), diverse learning, mental health, pastoral care and student wellbeing. Day Two will also feature specialised masterclasses focusing on student attendance and disengagement, behavioural threat assessment, and respectful relationships education.

Through expert insights, practical strategies and opportunities for professional collaboration, the symposium aims to strengthen the capacity of Catholic schools to respond confidently and compassionately to the evolving needs of students, while nurturing environments in which every young person can feel safe, supported and empowered to thrive.
