About this event
Catholic Schools NSW invites Diocesan Leaders, School Executive, Key Learning Area Coordinators, Diverse Learning Coordinators, High Potential and Gifted Coordinators, Classroom Teachers and Year Coordinators in Catholic education to join us at the 2026 CSSA Symposium - Differentiating the K-12 Curriculum – Personalising Learning for Student Achievement on Monday 23 March.
The mission and identity of Catholic schools have a distinctive holistic approach that involves the education of the whole person and values inclusivity. Differentiation, combined with the pursuit of excellence, ensures appropriate opportunities for K-12 educators to deliver quality curriculum and assessment, accessible to the full range of students.
This year's CSSA Symposium will showcase differentiation of the NSW K-12 curriculum, including syllabuses yet to be implemented and innovative examples of differentiation from Catholic schools across NSW. The personalisation of curriculum for every student is the professional and moral responsibility of every teacher and this enables quality learning outcomes to be achieved by the full range of students. The symposium is an opportunity to engage with colleagues from Catholic schools and Diocesan Offices to share teaching practice and expertise in curriculum and assessment design across the full continuum of learning from Kindergarten to Year 12.
The 2025 CSSA Symposium - Excellence in P-12 Religious Education in Catholic Schools was a first of its kind for Catholic education in NSW.

This world-class professional learning opportunity built my understanding of the role of teachers as ecclesial ministry, staff formation, evangelisation and youth ministry, curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.
