Strengthening Your ETams Security

NESA is introducing a secure new way to sign in to eTAMS in October, called NESA Identity (NESA ID). The upcoming changes will also introduce 2-step verification and a stronger password policy to keep your account safe.

From October 2025, you will:

  • sign in to eTAMS with an email address, not your 6-digit NESA account number
  • reset your password in line with our updated password policy and set up 2-step verification.

Prepare for the change:

  1. Sign in to eTAMS using your current credentials.
  2. Confirm your mobile number is up to date.
  3. Check the email address listed in the ‘NESA ID email address’ field. This will become your username in October.
  4. Verify the email address listed in the ‘Communications email address’ field.

    Confirm any changes.

Key considerations

NESA recommend using a personal email address as your NESA ID email address. Using a work email address will mean you need to complete extra steps to set up your NESA ID in October.
If you are a Principal, Accreditation Supervisor, Principal Delegate, or hold a role that receives frequent or sensitive communications from NESA, we recommend using a work email address for your Communication email address.
NESA will notify you before these changes take effect, with clear step-by-step instructions to guide you through the updated sign in process.
